Happy Spring!

Hello friends! It is a beautiful day: the sun is shining, the birds are singing by our bird feeder, and the flowers and plants are blooming: It’s SPRING! I love Winter because of the snow and Christmas, that much should be obvious because I named my snow loving daughter that :), and I love Fall because of the beauty of the leaves. I have always hated Summer living in Texas because it is BEYOND hot there in summertime, even at night it is still in the high 90s!, and I basically melt on the sidewalk as soon as I walk outside. Last year, we moved to central California and for once, it wasn’t hot! i enjoyed myself and learned to LOVE summer (much to my sister-in-law, Karyn’s happiness :) I have always loved Spring though because the snow melts all over the country and new things start to bloom. Spring reminds me of new beginnings and I have always liked that. There is almost a new life blossoming quality to spring and it makes you think that anything can happen. With that in mind, this month is called Move It so get out there and move! Go to a park and have a picnic, plant something new and watch it grow, take a walk and enjoy the beauty of nature all around you with the beginnings of new life and enjoy…SPRING!

Here are some beautiful flowers that we just got, including Pineapple Sage (far left with cool little red flower- it is supposed to smell like Pineapple and bring butterflies!) WE will be planting them later today!

These are growing all over the place! This is technically an invasive species to California (Oxalis) Aren’t they beautiful though? Winter loves to pick them and put them in a pretty vase on our table.

This beauty is my brand new Tomato plant. I am so excited about this guy! He grows in this pot and is super easy to move and grow. It already has some blooms!
